I left Aotearoa New Zealand in 2000 with the bare minimum of luggage and a snowboard bag, to take up the dream job in Austria. Which morphed into the nightmare job in Switzerland. Which transformed into over two decades in Germany across education, music, sport, media, digital, automotive, communications, and design.
I didn't return home until 2024, having worked for companies such as Eurosport, the top digital agencies within Publicis and WPP, and the last seven years as Managing Partner of the German operations of VIM Group, Europe's leading brand transformation specialists.
Along the way my clients included leaders at the head offices of adidas, Allianz, Audi, BMW, Bosch, CLAAS, Deutsche Telekom, DHL, GEA, Henkel, Lidl, Merck, Porsche, Volkswagen, and ZEISS - I became fluent in the language, the culture, and the particular loneliness of operating at the highest levels of a German organisation.
I've built things. I've stopped things. I've learnt things. I've lost things. I've unmade versions of myself that weren't working and rebuilt from what remained.
I'm also a photographer, a mountain biker, a skater, and a surfer. I mention these pursuits not as colour, but because they've been informing the way I see, learn, feel, and navigate anything hard or unfamiliar... for well over half my life.
I'm not a therapist. I'm not a coach. I'm not a management consultant.
I'm simply someone who has lived a large life, done the work of recognising and understanding their own patterns, and who has the cultural fluency and genuine empathy to help others do the same.
